Congratulations to the 44 hospice palliative care teams, who raised more than $145,000 through their combined efforts! The top fundraisers among the hospice palliative care teams were the riders from the Carpenter Hospice, who raised a total of $18,641. The other top teams included Healing With Smiles, the Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre, Team Trillium Hospital, Team Credit Valley and Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Thanks to our partners in the Toronto Police Service, who worked to recruit police riders to support local hospices and HPCO. Over 50 officers rode in the event and the Toronto Police Ameature Athelice Association provided and staffed the 25K rest stop. hospices that serve the same areas as their police divisions. We are grateful to have had their support on this pilot project, and we look forward to expanding the program next year.
