Hospice Palliative Care Ontario offers three types of membership opportunities: Organizational Membership, Associate Membership, and Individual Membership.
Organizational Membership
Organizational members are organizations that have as their primary objective the provision of hospice palliative care. The organization must be actively delivering hospice palliative care services. Organizations in the planning and development stage may join as associate members. Benefits of the organizational membership category include:
- Joint membership with the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA)
- Access to interest groups and work groups of both HPCO and CHPCA
- Opportunities to contribute to the development of health policy and position statements, and to support the ongoing development of the hospice palliative care movement in Ontario and Canada
- Access to HPCO’s Accreditation Program for Visiting Hospice Services if applicable
- HPCO’s bi-weekly newsletter to keep you informed of what is happening in the province
- CHPCA’s AVISO newsletter and monthly updates about national issues
- Discounts on registrations for staff and volunteers to attend the Annual HPCO Conference
- A full membership in EDLink for your organization’s Executive Director/CEO
- Discounts on CHPCA conference registrations and on merchandise offered in the CHPCA online marketplace
- Discounts on HPCO publications

Annual fees for this category are as follows:
- $225 (annual expenditure of less than $50,000)
- $390 (annual expenditure of $50,000 – $99,999)
- $600 (annual expenditure of $100,000 – $250,000)
- $760 (annual expenditure of $250,000 – $500,000)
- $780 (annual expenditure of $500,000 – $1,000,000)
- $1,300 (annual expenditure of $1,000,000 – $5,000,000)
- $2,500 (annual expenditure over $5,000,000)

Associate Membership
Associate Members are organizations whose primary objective is not the provision of hospice palliative care services, but who have an interest in the objects of Hospice Palliative Care Ontario. Emerging organizations planning to provide hospice palliative care services may apply for membership in this category. Benefits of this membership category include:
- Joint membership with CHPCA
- A subscription to HPCO’s bi-weekly electronic newsletter and to CHPCA’s AVISO newsletter
- Access to the members only area on the HPCO website (under development in 2012)
- Discounted registration fees for the annual Ontario Hospice Palliative Care Conference and CHPCA conferences
- Invitations to participate in interest groups
- Discounted pricing for HPCO publications and discounted pricing on the CHPCA Marketplace
- Consultation and engagement in the development of education, training, and standards
- Opportunities to contribute to the development of health policy and position statements, and to support the ongoing development of the hospice palliative care movement in Ontario and Canada
- A listing on HPCO’s website with a link to your organization
